HorseFlex Collagen Complex is a supplementary feed for horses to support cartilage, joints, tendons and ligaments. It contributes to a healthy musculoskeletal system and keeps the joints and cartilage supple and elastic. Collagen as a supplement for horses Collagen is a form of protein that plays an important role in keeping cartilage, joints, skin, bones, muscles, nails and hair supple and elastic. It is a body's own substance and is made up of various amino acids. There are about 28 types of collagen, but type I and II are the most important for the joints. - Type I collagen provides elasticity and suppleness to connective tissue. Provides structure to skin, bones, tendons, ligaments, connective tissue and cartilage. - Type II collagen is mainly found in elastic cartilage and thus ensures that the joints and bones can absorb shocks and that flexibility in the musculoskeletal system is maintained. HorseFlex Collagen Complex contains, in addition to hydrolyzed ASC-approved Collagen type I and type II, manganese and vitamins C and D3. Manganese is a trace element that contributes to healthy connective tissue and cartilage. Vitamin C and D3 support the natural production of collagen and contribute to healthy bones and joints. This makes it a balanced mix that provides extra support to your horse's entire musculoskeletal system. Horse riding together When can I give Collagen Complex to horses? Collagen is a natural substance that the body produces by breaking down proteins into amino acids. As a horse ages, the production of collagen decreases, which in some cases requires additional support for the joints. HorseFlex Collagen Complex is a completely natural mix of two types of collagen, manganese and vitamin C and D3, which naturally contributes to the elasticity of cartilage, tendons, ligaments and joints. This makes it a very suitable supplement for older horses to support the joints and cartilage. In addition, it can also be given preventively to young horses that are still growing or horses that are active in sports.
